Hi, guys!
Well, Thanksgiving was wonderful, warm, and full of laughter—a success. ![]()
One of the things I’ve always loved to do is throw parties. Whether for 4 people or 200, I find it so fun to think about the little details & give people a fun, thoughtful, and relaxed place to enjoy themselves & connect with one another. My long-time girlfriends and I started giving parties for just the four of us in early high school, and I love to continue the tradition whenever possible. This year, my mom & I decided to host a small Thanksgiving gathering for 10 at my parent’s home in Oceanside, CA. The theme was natural golds, and I think it turned out pretty cute, so I thought I’d share it with you. Feel free to steal ideas.
I picked fresh rosemary from the garden, and tied it to the napkins with raffia, and the center of the table was strewn with gold leaves, fresh golden pears & gourds, acorns, and sunflowers. If you want to use fresh flowers in a similar centerpiece, put them into small self-containing water buds (you can get them at any craft store) so they will stay fresh throughout the night.
Enjoy!

Jess & our friend Mikey Newman played pong on the lawn (people are REALLY good at this game in my family!)

Jones Sodas in turkey, cranberry, gravy, brussel sprouts, and pumpkin pie flavors were the prize for the winner of the Turkey Trivia game…

I loved this piece that ran in the NY Times yesterday, so I wanted to share it with you. Here’s a wonderful, inspiring article about a choreographer and an actor with cerebral palsy who are creating a dance piece together—and changing the way medical science thinks about neurological disorders.

Hi, guys!
I’m happy to be heading down to my folks for Thanksgiving this year, but everyone who has been stuck in their adopted hometown during the holidays will really appreciate this music video from my girlfriends at Whatever Hollywood.
Awww, thanks for sharing Misfit Thanksgiving, ladies. ![]()

Here’s part 2 of the photos….
Hi, there!
Well, this week I wrap work on ‘The Big Bang’. I’ve been shooting this wonderfully quirky indie movie up in Spokane, Washington on and off for a couple of months now. My character Fay is sort of a free-spirited physics groupie who meets Antonio Banderas’ private-eye character while working in a diner in New Mexico. I’ve had a fantastic time shooting this neo-film-noir, and the dailies have been absolutely gorgeous.
I thought I’d commemorate the wrap with some of my favorite shots I’ve taken over the course of filming. Often we were in the very middle of a huge cow pasture, and it was so desolate and isolated and completely beautiful—I loved taking photos here! Please comment if you enjoy them, too!
