Oscars!
February 23rd 2009

I loved watching the Oscars last night!  We’ve been holding an Oscar party every year, and this was our 8th annual Oscar bash- and I finally won the betting pool!  Last night was a good one. smile  I thought Hugh Jackman’s opening number was fantastic!!  I could not stop laughing, and I was reminded of how great musicals can be when they are done well.  Wasn’t such a fan of the top hat number, maybe a little too old-school-musical for me…  I thought everyone looked gorgeous, and since we live very close to the theater, it’s always surreal to hear all the news helicopters circling overhead and see the streets blocked off.  How great is Tim Gunn?  I love that they had him on the red carpet…  And I loooovvvved Penelope Cruz’s gorgeous white vintage Balmain dress!!!  Fabulous-  maybe I should ask her if I can borrow it for my wedding-  it would make a fantastic wedding gown! smile  PC.jpg
Hope you all have a fantastic week!

New Stuff!
February 12th 2009

Hi, guys!
2009 is turning out to be a good year- I’ve got all sorts of new, exciting things going on lately!  Starting this summer, you can watch me weekly on ‘Entourage’-  I’ve got a great, multi-episode arc as a junior agent at Ari’s agency.  I’ll have some really nice scenes with Jeremy Piven, and ‘Entourage’ is a show I’ve wanted to work on for a long time!  I feel very happy. smile  And next month I’ll be in Vancouver shooting a crazy role in the prequel to ‘Smokin’Aces’—-  I love the highly stylized characters in this film & the role I’m playing is completely different from anything you’ve seen from me before!  I’ll have the chance to work with one of my director friends again, so I’m really looking forward to it.  Also, “Palo Alto, CA” comes out on DVD this week, so you can buy it, rent it, or Netflix it (like I’m planning to!).
Aside from work, I’ve been enjoying the rare, beautiful rain that we’ve been experiencing in LA- gorgeous!  I actually saw a rainbow last evening.  Planning baby showers & wedding showers for my girlfriends, dancing, reading ‘Away’ by Amy Bloom, and I finally finished ‘Anna Karinena’- whew!  Took a while.  smile
Hope your 2009 is beautiful so far,

Autumn

“Palo Alto, CA”
February 07th 2009

Hey, guys!

You can now pre-order a copy of my film, “Palo Alto, CA”, which comes out on DVD on February 17th.  I shot this indie the summer after the third season of ‘OC’, so it’s been a long time in the making!  The director, Brad Leong, is the youngest director to ever exhibit a film at the Tribeca Film Festival, where we showed the original version of this film in 2007.  The entire production crew was also college age (or younger!!) and made this movie solely b/c they have a love of film, and had an interesting story to tell. It’s a coming of age story about one weekend in the lives of 4 best friends, and has been playing to sold-out screenings in college towns all over CA.  I play Jaime, a quirky first-year college student who befriends Johnny Lewis’s equally awkward college student, Nolan.  We have a really sweet storyline, and the film is very true to this particular moment in life that a lot of people can relate to.  I highly recommend that you see it!!
